Complaints about a provider

Water Damage Restoration Cost doesn't perform the work, so disputes about pricing, workmanship, scheduling, or damage are between you and the provider, under your agreement with it. We still want to hear about it:

  1. Contact the provider first. Put your concern in writing and keep copies of estimates, contracts, invoices, photos, and messages.
  2. Tell us. Let us know which provider it was and what happened. We look into concerns and may stop sending requests to providers who don't treat homeowners fairly.
  3. Use official channels if needed.
  • Contractor issues: your state or local contractor licensing board, or your state attorney general’s consumer protection office.
  • Insurance claim handling: your state department of insurance accepts complaints about how insurers handle claims.
  • Scams and fraud: the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
  • Emergencies: for anything unsafe, call 911 or your utility.
